Here’s the first picture of me. Ever. 11 weeks B.B. (Before Birth). Pretty crazy, huh?
I was such a cute little fetus! And mommy says her pregnancy was super easy. No side effects or complications. What can I say, I’m pretty chill! 🙂
Here’s a video of me at 33 weeks. Look at me move! That made mommy’s doctor very happy.
Scheduled arrival was Tuesday, December 14, but I decided to come early. I guess I was a little impatient. And mommy’s tummy wasn’t big enough for me.
I broke mommy’s water at 2:30 am, the second after daddy decided to turn off the TV and go to bed after a long night of working. Poor guy, I didn’t let him sleep hardly any that day. But I’m muy importante! So we arrived at the hospital around 4:00 am, and the triage nurse confirmed that mommy was indeed in labor. They monitored mommy’s contractions, but I decided to be super nice and not give mommy any pain. She didn’t feel anything. Mommy’s doctor, Dr. Rost, decided to move her scheduled c-section to that morning at 7:00 am, and daddy started calling family members. Gigi & Pops (his parents) decided to catch the earliest flight out of New Mexico to come and meet me for the first time. Asian Grandma was in Louisiana, so she drove back into town later that day. Asian Grandpa is in Hong Kong, and I’ll meet him in March.
The c-section went very well, and the second I came out, I was crying my lungs out. Gotta make myself heard, ya know? I got all cleaned up so that daddy could hold me. I figured out very quickly that he was the guy with the big black camera. I didn’t really recognize mommy, but she was all drugged up and out of it. So I decided to let her rest and not make a big deal out of it.
We all went home on Wednesday, December 8 before noon. That’s when I met my brother Neo (cat) and my sister Tele (dog). Neo sniffed my feet for a little bit, and then he didn’t really seem to care too much. Tele had a bit of a harder time with my arrival – she got a little jealous. But mommy & daddy are trying to include her as much as possible, and I don’t mind a few sniffs and licks from her every now and then. She’s very cute.
